Version 2.0

This version of the model expands geographic coverage of the model to global (80°S to 80°N).

Key updates

• Geostationary sateliite data is expanded to include SEVIRI and GK2A for global coverage.

Variables

• GHI = global horizontal irradiance (W/m²)
• DNI = direct normal irradiance (W/m²)
• DHI = diffuse horizontal irradiance (W/m²)

• lat: Latitude, 0.06 degrees, float64
• lon: Longitude, 0.06 degrees, float64
• time: Initial time of forecast, datetime64
• lead_time: Forecast lead time as a datetime.timedelta
